That means 936 opportunities for your church (Holmeswood) to partner with parents/guardians to…

• share & experience the AWE of God’s love with kids/youth AND

• discover the VITAL importance of learning, sharing and growing together in a faith community, a group that has our back on glad/sad/confusing/angry/amazing days in our lives AND

• dig in and find creative ways to love ourselves, love God and love other people. Stand up for justice, love more than we judge, and recognize that many are greater than myself. Oh, this one is so much fun!

And don’t worry! We are all in this together.

Let’s start with learning from our kids.

Children’s Sabbath is an annual Sunday celebrated by faith communities all of the US (and World!) to encourage children-aged leaders to lead their church AND for adults to commit to being advocates for children here in KC and all over the world. And we’re gonna try it October 22. All children 5-12 years old are invited to participate in leading this day.

*Parents: please make sure your kids are in BFG each Sunday in October. We’ll be learning how to lead in Worship through song, prayer, speaking and creating. It’ll be fun!

**If you’re a Youth (7th-12th grade)…your time is coming soon…February for Youth Sunday! And you’ll be preaching, so start cracking open that bountiful Bible in your room (or your Bible app).

September 24th-Sunday morning Worship at 9:00am (Sanctuary); BFG (Bible Fellowship Groups) from 10:15-11:15 (See ushers/pastors to find out where your BFG is).

1st-World Communion Sunday

• Sunday morning Worship at 9:00am (Sanctuary) + World Communion Sunday (lots of types of breads to remember God’s people around the globe)
• BFG (Bible Fellowship Groups) from 10:15-11:15 (See ushers/pastors to find out where your BFG is). Worship is the heart of church, and we spend time together learning/praying/singing/reading/praising God. Small groups are a way for us to grow friendships and our faith.

Wednesday the 4th-Faith and Fun Night  

• 5:30-7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. 
• Dinner and Activities around a theme–Unity: loving my neighbors as myself Free event for kids ages 5–18, 5:30–7:30pm. Bring a friend/neighbor!

8th-Sunday morning Worship at 9:00am (Sanctuary); BFG (Bible Fellowship Groups) from 10:15-11:15 (See ushers/pastors to find out where your BFG is).

• Super Fall fun with games, activities, food and play! All ages.
• Children’s Sabbath Rehearsal after Fall Fest!! (for the readers and leaders)

22nd-1st Annual Children’s Sabbath!

• Sunday morning Worship at 9:00am (Sanctuary) where KIDS LEAD

Mr. Allen will be teaching a song to the kids in BFG in October to sing in Worship this day!
