Labor of Love

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head for days at a time?

Everywhere you go, little things people say and seemingly insignificant moments draw you back to that song…lyrics, the melody, the feel…they stick with you. I’ve been carrying this song for the last six days, in my thoughts, in my steps this past week.

Take a listen…See what you Hear (if that makes sense, ha)…

As we have entered the 12 Days of Christmas, imagine the setting for Christ’s birth. Imagine the danger, the fear, the anxiety attached to this highly anticipated event. And then imagine the post-birth story…the journey to flee a highly determined king, the secretive escape, a young family now labeled as refugees.

There is so much to unpack in this story and, yet, its beauty is in the simplicity and mystery. May we each get this loving concept of Christ’s Birth stuck in our own heads this week. (And apologies if you can’t get this song out of your head! #sorrynotsorry)

May your week be filled with Peace and Hope for the future.
